Translations of technical documents containing texts from fields such as electrical engineering, telecommunications, automation and robotics, medical technology (medical devices), the automotive industry, software and hardware (IT), heavy industry, and construction require in-depth knowledge, appropriate education, and extensive experience. Such texts must be clear, technically accurate in every respect, and use terminology that is precise and commonly accepted within the specific industry. My work is based on these facts.
Therefore I don't belong to the group of translators who translate text word by word and I don't translate texts that fall outside my specialty. To ensure the accuracy and correctness of the texts I use not only dictionaries, (on-line) glossaries, termbases or internet search engines. I also interact with external consultants and experts. Sometimes I have to verify the function of a device and consult about the issue at the client's or manufacturer's location.
